Infor distribution requirements planning system rolled out at Aristocrat.

Aristocrat has succesfully rolled out a distribution requirements planning system implemented by Infor with significant involvement from senior NXG Business Solutions resources. Details of the project were outlined in a recent interview with the CIO of Aristocrat, Angelo Grasso, where he states:

[Suppliers] can see what are the demands are coming through, they can see what inventory is sitting in the various centres because they own that inventory until we consume it. Therefore we are also able to make sure we don't run out...

This particular project had a very good return on investment — hard numbers where the owners are now looking to make those savings accordingly and demonstrate those savings.

Palo downloads increase significantly

Jedox, developer of the open source OLAP software Palo, recently reported that Palo downloads have increased to over 1000 per week.

CPA Congress

NXG was in attendance at the 2009 CPA congress at the Melbourne Convention Centre last last year. We are looking forward meeting you at this year's CPA congress in October.

Microsoft PowerPivot

Microsoft PowerPivot, formerly known as Project Gemini, is Microsoft’s new in memory OLAP Excel add-in. It promises to be the most exciting Business Intelligence development for some time. To be released as part of Office 2010, PowerPivot aims to make OLAP available to the non-technical end user for arguably the first time.
